Ubuntu 8.10

Hallo!
Unter dem Ubuntu intrepid (development branch) kann man das Turboprint zwar installieren, aber es funktioniert nicht!
Beim Starten von turboprint kommen folgende Fehlermeldungen:
Und nach einem Klick auf "Configure" passiert nichts mehr. Nach Klick auf Schliessen gibt es als Antwort:
tpgnomeapplet verabschiedet sich übrigens auch ohne Kommentar. Und der Turboprint-Monitor hat auch keine Icons und ist funktionslos.
Ich habe das Paket turboprint_2.03-1_i386.deb installiert und vermute bei den Fehlermeldungen, dass die Pfade nicht richtig gesetzt sind. Ich bin mir sehr wohl bewuÃt, dass ich als Ubuntu 8.10-Nutzer ein Beta-Tester bin. Mit dem Turboprint bin ich schon seit Jahren zufrieden und deshalb habe ich mir das Update auf 2.x besorgt. Leider habe ich angernommen, dass es auch unter'm 8.10 funktioniert, da es auf 8.04 ohne Probleme lief.
Irgendwelche Tipps für den Beta-Tester?
