Hallo,
die Testseite geht bei beiden Druckern. Sie drucken ja auch, nur eben nicht alles und die Duplex-Funktion ist beim Laserdrucker nicht zu gebrauchen. Würde das funktionieren, wäre TurboPrint eine tolle Sache.
Ich mache bei dem Rechner jede Woche Updates, da sind die neuesten Versionen schon drauf.

Epson R2880 und Turboprint

die Duplex-Funktion habe ich gerade nochmals aus OpenOffice überprüft - bei uns druckt es problemlos doppelseitig (ist zwar ein HL-6050, aber mit dem HL 1650 kompatibel). Ein bekanntes Problem ist allerdings, dass bei der Einstellung "2 Kopien" ohne die Option "sortieren" die Seite 1 auf vor- und Rückseite gedruckt wird.
Sie könnten evtl. die Logdatei /var/log/turboprint/print.log nach einem Duplex-Druckversuch posten; letzter Abschnitt ab "### New print job..." reicht.

ich habe das aktuelle Ghostscript kompiliert und installiert. Jetzt funktioniert Duplex vom Linux-Rechner aus auf den Laserdrucker. Aber beim Mac hängt es noch. Aus "Mail" heraus kann ich nichts mit Grafiken ausdrucken. Da passiert nichts. Wandele ich das in ein PDF um und drucke es dann aus, kommt es ohne Farbe.

Dummerweise ist die Version der fehlerhaften und korrigierten Ghostscript-Version gleich (8.70 und 8.71 können betroffen sein), denn der Fehler steckt in einem Source-Bestandteil aus CUPS (das "gscupsdevice"), der in verschiedenen Versionen enthalten sein kann.
Als Workaround könnten Sie folgendes machen:
Die Datei /usr/lib/cups/filter/pstoprintfab editieren
(64bit Systeme: /usr/lib64/cups/filter/pstoprintfab )
Die Zeile
if [ $GSCUPSDEVICE -eq 1 ] ; then
in
if [ $GSCUPSDEVICE -eq 2 ] ; then
ändern.
